Hello All,
First of all, I know.........I still owe you pictures. I promise I am truly working on it! I think I have slightly over-extended myself (for some of you I know you are so not shocked)! We had an awesome week, busy but awesome.
Things are chugging along at the Spencer/Schwarz house and it appears that fall may have finally arrived. I love not having either air conditioning or heat on - this has to be my favorite time of year.
Last week, we did have a bit of drama. Darryl has been having an issue with his toe and he ended up having to have a portion of his toenail removed. The interesting thing was, that for whatever reason the nurse did not not help the doctor, and Russell became the "assistant". The other exciting thing that took place during the visit was that Darryl passed out - I think this spooked the dad bit, but he was okay. It is looking better, so I think he is on the mend!
This is report card week, two of the three have arrived home. For those wondering, Rachel's was awesome, she is being very challenged in pre-algebra and having a bit of a time achieving that almighty "A", with that being said, with the exception of math the entire report card was A's. Isaac's report card continues to surprise us, things that were good grades at mid-term had slipped a couple of grades, spelling! He could use some work on reading directions and tends to not want to finish his class work, which results in a mediocre grade. All in we are very pleased with his progress, after all we know he is not driven like Rachel, nor do we expect him to be like her. The only report card left to arrive is Darryl's, we are being told it will be good, but unfortunately after several years of hearing this, we just can't buy in until we have the report card in hand. Cross your fingers with us that it will be good! At mid-term we already had 12 missed assignments and lost computer privileges for 12 days. I'll have to give you an update on Thursday, in the meantime pray and cross those fingers.
I have one quick request tonight as I write this, please pray that I can work through some things concerning my daddy. I don't know if it is the weather change, getting kids school pictures or what, but the last couple of weeks have been extremely hard. I am missing him so much and just want to hear him say he loves me one last time!
Well, it has been a long day, I just got home at 8:45, left work and went straight to the football field, as Isaac had a game and then worked my concession stand duty for the season.
Have a great evening/morning (depending on when you read this)!
Sending you all love from Kentucky!
P.S. I forgot to remind you all that UK Basketball is just around the corner - GO UK!!!

The latest happenings......
What a week we have had! The kids have been on fall break the entire week, so Russell took the opportunity to get some projects completed that require more than one pair of hands. He wanted to get a lot accomplished, however he managed to get a "bug" and was not feeling up to par for a few days. He left on Thursday morning for his annual fishing trip to Lake Cumberland with his brothers, and will be home on Sunday late afternoon. We all miss him, but are glad he is talking time to do something for himself, since he does so much for all of us.
I took vacation days on Thursday and Friday.......I don't think they were really vacation days though! On Thursday, we went through Isaac's room top to bottom - which involved cleaning every nook, disposing of broken toys, rearranging the room for winter (needed to get the bed away from the windows), and vacuum really well. Once we were done with Isaac's room, it was on to Rachel's. We removed several bags of clothes for Goodwill! That child will not part with something even it if is way too small! We are finishing up under her bed this evening when it cools down. Darryl's room will have to come at a later date - in fact I think Russell is going to try and tackle that this week, since were are suppose to finally get some rain the middle of the week. In the evening, Isaac had a football game and while we didn't win, he did score a touchdown. That boy can run..........
Friday the kids and I spent the day hanging out and doing errands. I got the older kids a white board/bulletin board to help them get more organized (not that Rachel needs more organization, but I wanted it to be fair). Isaac got to pick out a toy, and with his big brother's help he received a bow and arrow (the arrow are plastic with suction cups)! We went out for Chinese lunch, since that is not one of Russell's favorites. We had a great time. Friday night was Cub/Boy Scout outing at the scoutmaster's house. They do a hot dog roast, hayride and camp out. We all went (the 4 of us) and had a great time. Darryl camped out in a tent, Rachel spent the night with the girls inside, Isaac and I came home and camped out in our bedroom. My back isn't up to much sleeping in a tent these days, so we had to come home. The older kids stayed and hung out with the scoutmasters son (who is Darryl's friend) and his daughter (who is Rachel's friend). I'm now off to do yet another load of laundry (I think I've done 12 loads the past couple of days............I think dirty laundry multiplies in dirty rooms), make dinner and give the boys haircuts.
I know I promised pictures, and I hope to get to that this week, but it is stacking up to be another hectic week, so I won't make any empty promises.
Hope you all have a blessed weekend!

Football Update...........
Hi Ya'll......
Just a quick post before I'm off to watch CSI - Las Vegas. I wanted to let you know that our little football player scored a touchdown tonight! He did a great job of running in the ball.....he had to do a bit of zigging and zagging, but he was persistent and scored. Unfortunately, we didn't win, but they played a pretty good game, now we just need to get our defense in the right places.
Have a great evening!
